Message from Chairman, EIRC,  

Dear Esteemed Members and Professional Colleagues,

I extend my warm wishes for a joyous Poila Boishakh, Rongali Bihu, Pana Sankranti, Baisakhi, Ugadi, Puthandu & Vishu. May the new year usher in abundance and happiness in our lives.

Eastern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is in a constant dedication for the evolution and overall development of the members and students. I convey my heartfelt thankfulness to all the members.

Over the past month, we have invested significant efforts in enhancing our services to both members and students. While I am confident that you have been benefiting from these improvements, I believe that there is still room for further enhancement. Your feedback is crucial in helping us achieve this goal.

This journey of growth, empowerment, and unwavering values defines the essence of true strength and success where Chartered Accountants are "Vishwasniya" for their trust, credibility and integrity that builds an unwavering faith in the society and among various stakeholders. In this age of rapid change in technology and global integration the nation’s dependence on the profession exemplifies an environment that inspires confidence, leadership with precision & principles and the real torchbearers of truth in financial and corporate governance.

In the context of the Chartered Accountancy profession, Vishwasniya embodies the unwavering faith that society, stakeholders, and the nation place in Chartered Accountants. It reflects the cornerstone of our responsibilities – to be dependable, transparent, and ethically sound in every action and decision.

As we move forward in an era of rapid change, technology, and global integration, the value of being Vishwasniya becomes even more significant. Theme for the 50th Regional Conference – Golden Jubilee of EIRC of ICAI

The 50th Regional Conference – Golden Jubilee of the Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of ICAI, to be held from November 20th to 22nd, 2025 at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata, embraces the transformative theme “EYE – Ethics | Youth | Empower”, anchored by the enduring principle of “Vishwasniya” – Trust.

This conference celebrates that very journey — empowering professionals and students, recognizing the role of youth as catalysts of innovation, and reaffirming ethics as the bedrock of the profession. And above all, it reminds us of our identity as “Vishwasniya” professionals— those in whom the nation, stakeholders, and society place their unwavering trust.

As we mark this golden milestone, let us renew our collective commitment to be empowered in knowledge, driven by youthful energy, anchored in ethics, and forever worthy of the trust bestowed upon us.

I also wholeheartedly request all my members to come forward and join hands to ride a change in our profession. As Team EIRC we are working upon various initiatives, seminars, workshops and events beneficial for our members.
